The memorial of Glory in Grozny is located in the Central part of the city on Mayakovsky street. The opening of the complex took place on 8 may 2010 and was timed to the 65th anniversary of the great Victory. The memorial complex with a total area of over 5 hectares, became the third-largest object in Russia, built in memory of the victory of the Soviet people over fascism. The composition of the memorial included a Park, a Museum and several monuments.
At the entrance to the memorial, erected a monument to the Hero of the Soviet Union, the former commander of the twenty-eighth cavalry regiment, M. Visitou.
The main building of the memorial complex in the shape of a quadrilateral consists of four different levels. In the first underground level is the Museum of the first President of the Chechen Republic Akhmad-Hadji Kadyrov. Here presents a thematic exhibition illustrating the life and work of A. A. Kadyrov. The second level of the building is an art gallery. The upper level of the building is crowned by a dome of glass, and the walls are retrospective, which depict scenes of fighting in key battles of the great Patriotic war. Here are the portrait reliefs of the forty Heroes of the Soviet Union – representatives of all nationalities living in the territory of the Chechen-Ingush ASSR. The Central part of the building of the Memorial complex is decorated with forty-foot Golden spire, imitating the medieval Chechen battle tower.
The Museum building is surrounded by 40 memorial plates with the names of the Chechens who took part in the war, and on the perimeter of the complex is a Park. The eternal flame on the top tier of the building is a symbol of remembrance of the Heroes who had defended the freedom and independence of the state.
During the celebrations the territory of the memorial complex of Glory have the opportunity to visit about 15 thousand people.
