City lake or, as it is called, Stanislavski sea, appeared in the city in 1995. This lake is artificial, and it was formed in place of the former menagerie Potocki. These fields used to love to hunt Polish nobility. And in the Soviet Union on the territory of the zoo was a few artificial ponds, which were connected via gateways to the river Bistrica. It is water from this river and were filled lake.

Today the city lake – a favorite spot not only for locals but also visitors. It is nice to spend a hot summer day, swimming in the cool water, boating, or relax in the shade of the trees. Well the lake and in the spring and autumn period. But, perhaps, the most romantic and famous place on the lake – the Bridge of Love. People come here to confess your love to be photographed during the wedding, and just enjoy the magnificent view of the lake.

In the near future the city administration is planning a large-scale improvement works of the lake, shore protection, construction of new treatment channels. The program is aimed at improving the condition of water in the lake.
