Ethnographic Museum in the town of Kavarna was opened in 1984. The main part of the exposition is located in a beautiful old two-storey house, which is a monument of architecture of XIX century. Previously, the building belonged to a wealthy family. From 1896 to 1969 there was the first Bulgarian school in the city of Kavarna. In the late twentieth century the house was restored and converted into an ethnographic Museum of the city life. On the territory of the Museum complex is also a number of small outbuildings and a garden.
Visitors of the ethnographic Museum in the town of Kavarna can find features of life and culture of a typical representative of the local region of the XIX century. Inside the building is partially conserved, authentic interior and decor: furniture, fittings, utensils, personal belongings of the former owners of the house, etc.
One room is decorated as an old artisan workshop: here you can see how the tools by which sewing, knitting, and doing other activities, and the results of this work – carpets, lace, fabric, ceramic and metal tableware, etc. in Addition, the exhibition presents samples of traditional national clothes.
