In 40-ies of XX century the house was to be demolished, but the public protested against its destruction, and in 1951 began the restoration of the building, and in 1953 it opened the Museum.
The rooms recreate the typical atmosphere of the XVII, XVIII and XIX centuries. Great room, living room and bedroom of the seventeenth century contrast sharply with the refined atmosphere of the dining room of the XVIII century – fine China, elegant tableware and magnificent crystal chandelier. Lounge nineteenth century, a superb example of the situation in the Regency. Regularly changing exhibition presents the history of costume.
Great attention is drawn to the stucco ceilings of the seventeenth century and Painted the gallery where the ceiling is covered with panels depicting religious scenes.
