The famous Russian poet Igor Severyanin was born in the city of Petersburg. The real name of the poet – Lotarev Igor Vasilievich. Most of the life of Igor Severyanin, namely children, adolescent and youth, held at Cherepovets earth. The estate is situated on the border Kaduysk and Cherepovets areas where the village of Vladimirovka. It was in this house of his uncle before the revolution, lived the famous poet. On the picturesque river, between pine forests, was built a large wooden house. Almost every year in this place gather eminent artists, hosting interesting literary evenings. On the basis of the estate of Igor Severyanin was creating a Museum that is completely dedicated to the work of a famous Russian poet of the 19th century.

It is worth noting that the house Starevich has the status of a monument of culture and history and is a significant cultural heritage site of regional significance. Manor complex is a unique blend of history, memorialist, cultural and environmental values of the late 19th – early 20th centuries. The total estate area is 5 hectares, two of which are occupied by the Park with the gene pool of the most rare plants. Of all the buildings we have only a huge manor house, barn, servant's house, stables, Laundry-bath and a gatehouse.

The house is located in the birch grove and reflects the imprint of the then popular art Nouveau style. In the design window of the mezzanine is applied carving. To date, has not survived the balcony of the house, because in Soviet times, in its place was built a porch, built in two floors. In the interior are preserved white tiled furnace, having a shaped top, and old doors, mirrors and cabinets.

The history of the estate complex is a diverse and suffered considerable number of changes. It was originally a manor house, built in the late 19th century, uncle of the poet Northerner, a professional engineer Mikhail Petrovich Lotarev. The house construction was started in 1899 on the funds that were allocated as a forfeit for the dismissal from his job. At the time, my uncle is a engineer worked as technical Director of the Polish branch of textile enterprises. The owner of the factory was considered significant savings on the health of its employees and did not equip the plant ventilation system, and because the textile industry is particularly harmful to human lungs. Michael Lotarev was against violations of the rules, because it was dismissed. Uncle of the future poet received a hefty penalty and moved in Cherepovets County where the estate of his sister. So came the manor in Vladimirovka. The future poet Igor Severyanin often came here to relax during the holidays.

In 1918 the estate Starevich nationalized, and Igor Severyanin went to Estonia. We can say that all the property Starevich was sold at auction. During 1924-1996 years at home and sanatorium. Only in 1993 through the efforts of the administration of the Cherepovets district, as well as members of the Museum Association of the city of Cherepovets in the resort launched the first exhibition devoted to the poet Igor Lotareva.

After three years, the manor complex Starevich was given to the management of the Cherepovets Museum Association. In 1997 the opening of the Literary Museum, in stock base which formed the materials are donated not only from relatives but also from fans of the multifaceted oeuvre of the poet. Was transferred to a personal archive of photos of photos of relatives in the famous estate and securities of a copy of the photos. The Museum presents the exhibition "the Life and work of Igor Severyanin, a popular photo-exhibition called "Pineapples in champagne". In addition, in the Literary Museum hosts various literary festivals, open airs of the International organization of artists called "sun square", ecology and local history of the expedition; especially for children there is Room tales.
