Royal Zoological Gardens of Melbourne is the oldest zoo in Australia, founded in 1862 by on-site Royal Park. Today, the area of 22 hectares located more than 320 species of animals, representing not only the native Australian fauna, but also animals from around the world. Interestingly, initially in the zoo contained the usual domestic animals brought from other continents, here they were acclimatized. And only since 1870, the administration of the zoo began to acquire monkeys, tigers, lions and other exotic animals. As the growing collection of zoo, and grew the number of visitors to the area we had to develop in accordance with the needs of not only animals but also people, with picnic areas, wooden decks, outdoor enclosures, etc.
