Vysotsky monastery was founded in 1374 St. Sergius of Radonezh and Prince Vladimir Andreevich Brave. In 1571 the Crimean Tatars burned the monastery, but the monastery was restored by donations of the Naryshkin family. In the centre of the monastery is dedicated to the conception Cathedral, built on a high basement and is surrounded by bunk vaulted galleries. Modern three-tiered bell tower at the monastery was built around 1840 to replace the old, which came into disrepair and collapsed. Soon after her second tier was constructed the temple in the name of the Three Great hierarchs and Ecumenical Teachers Basil the Great, Gregory the theologian and John Chrysostom.
