Vileika Holy cross Catholic Church, or the Church of the exaltation of the Holy cross, in the town of Vileyka, Minsk region – one of the most beautiful Catholic churches, combining the features of neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque styles. The Cathedral was built in the early XX century in the years 1906-1913 by architect August Klein.

In 1862 in Vileyka there was a large fire that destroyed a wooden Catholic Church. This is when we made the decision to build the stone Church. When the Church was already half built, there was a national-liberation uprising, suppressed by Russian troops. After that the authorities of the Russian Empire gave the unfinished Church of the Orthodox community of the city of Vileika.

After construction, the Church acquired a Byzantine pseudo line and was consecrated as St. George's Church. Catholic community built a wooden Church, in which believers continued to pray. In 1913 the temple was built of yellow brick and consecrated in honor of the exaltation of the Holy cross.

During the first world war Vileika the Church suffered from artillery fire. In the years when the city came under Polish jurisdiction, the Church was carefully restored.

After the Second World war the Church was confiscated from the faithful by the Soviet authorities and converted into common stock.

After the collapse of the USSR in 1990 Vileika Holy cross Church was given to the Catholic community. Now it is an active Catholic Church and the true decoration of the Central area of Vileyka.
