Pavilion "Evening hall is located near the border of the Catherine and Alexander parks, close to the Neva river between the road. The construction of the pavilion began in 1796 architect Ilya V. Neyelov. However, it was interrupted during the reign of Emperor Paul I and was resumed only in 1806 on the revised draft, which was drawn up by the architects Peter V. Neyelov (brother I. V. Neyelov) and Luigi Rusca.
The pavilion is characterized by a typical late classical period features with attraction to the broad surfaces of walls, lively sculpture. According to the plan Rusca Central part of the front façade highlights the four-column ionic portico with a high attic. The walls on the sides of the portico lined with a thin "French" rust; on the sides of the Windows on low pedestals can be seen caryatids (statues) that support direct heavy canopies of the big takeaways.
