The Cathedral in honor of the Holy Trinity in the town of Zhlobin was built after the great fire of may 13, 1880, when burned not only a large part of the city, but also of wood of Holy cross Church. To built on the highest place on the banks of the Dnieper.

Hard was the fate of this beautiful Church. During the Stalinist repression was arrested father Adam Zhdanovich. There was nobody to serve in the Church, and it was closed by the authorities. In an empty room, it was decided to arrange the city archive.

During the fierce bloody battles of 1941 the Church was on the firing line. It was destroyed almost to the base. Shiny domes were far visible, even in bad weather. The remains of the walls were pillaged by the locals to rebuild houses destroyed during the war.

In 1992 it was decided that the long-suffering Church to be rebuilt. In 1995 the consecration fully built temple. Now, his bell ringing spreads far on the Dnieper river and the Golden domes are visible from almost any point of Zhlobin.
