In the valley of the river Loučná a few kilometers from Pardubice is a city Dsize. The exact date of its Foundation is unknown. Most likely, this happened several decades before 1318 year, when about Desico first time writing in historical documents. A little later the town built a mighty fortress, which for greater strength surrounded by a moat filled with water. In 1349 there was erected a Church, which then was rebuilt.
At the end of the XV century Dsize became part of the lands which belonged to the famous Czech family of pernstejnem. These pans take responsibility for their property, expanding, strengthening the building of the city entrusted to them. When Pernsteiner citizens prospered. Luck was not going to leave them and then in 1560, when the city was sold to a Czech king. Dsize became a Royal town with all the consequences of this situation privileges.
Many wars following centuries brought Dsize grief and destruction. Wooden houses of local residents have suffered from fires. Local authorities were forced to completely change the look of the city. Now mansions residents had to be built not chaotic, but is along the same line, forming streets. Barns and storage rooms should be constructed to 10 yards from the premises. This helped greatly to reduce the damage from fire.
The Central square of the city, named after T. G. Masaryk, in the shape of a trapezoid. Around the perimeter of the home, which appeared in the XVIII-XIX centuries. The area and the neighborhoods around it are considered to be a protected historical area.
The main temple Delice is located in another part of the city. This is the Church of the Nativity of the virgin, executed in the Baroque tradition. On the river Loučná you can see the watermill, built in neo-Renaissance style.
