The city of Stavanger is located on the shores of a small Bay. On its left Bank lies the old fortress tower, Aalberg, the top of which commands a magnificent view of the city, the neighborhood and the fjord.

One of the main attractions of Stavanger Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. Its construction was started in 1125, after Sigurd the Crusader moved to Stavanger the Bishop's residence. The interior of the temple is decorated with intricate stone carvings and modern stained-glass Windows.

On the right Bank of the Bay there is the Old town lined with white two-storey wooden houses of the XIX century, with cobbled streets and pedestrian areas.
