Church of the assumption of the blessed virgin Mary is an Orthodox Church in Kondopoga, Karelia. It is located to the North of Petrozavodsk, at the very end of the Lollipop Bay of lake Onega. The Church was built in 1774, and on the right is the top of steepled wooden architecture.

The Church is located on the highest point of a small rocky Peninsula. But the uniqueness and the beauty of it is visible at once. When viewed from afar, it may seem that the temple is quite low, but when approaching the Church, then immediately the proportions of the building are getting longer and the Church tent faster and brighter on the horizon. It is known that near the Church stood two wooden buildings, but they disappeared during the Soviet times. They were: the belfry and the winter Church of the Nativity of the virgin. Over the years 1829-1831 near the temple was built on the money of parishioners wooden bell tower. In 1857 the winter Church.
