The St. Stanislaus Church – a monument of medieval architecture. There is an ancient legend that describes the Foundation of the Church. Lived in Mogilev cruel and wicked nobleman, Lubog Zenkovich. He and his retinue were beaten and robbed people, which was fun for him. The townspeople so much angry nobleman who killed him right on the threshold of the chapel, in which he hoped to find salvation. For the iniquity of king Jan Sobieski forced the townspeople to build the unprecedented beauty of the Cathedral for the monks of the order of the barefoot brothers of the blessed virgin Mary from the bricks of their own houses and furnaces. Interestingly, archaeological finds confirm the veracity of the legend. The Cathedral is really composed of different-sized bricks and stones, some of them explicitly furnace.

In 1738-1752, the temple was rebuilt. He acquired the features of classicism. Appeared on the façade portico with columns and a triangular pediment. In 1789 in Mogilev was visited by the Empress Catherine II, which is so like a Church that she decided to make it a Cathedral. Carmelite monks were simply expelled from the country.

The most valuable thing in the Church of St. Stanislaus – old frescoes. They were written in different years and therefore have a different saturation. More bright colorful murals – more recent, darker – earlier.

Particularly noteworthy is the body of the Church. It was installed in 1912. His feature – rare ceramic tube. Bodies of similar design there are only four in the world. The unique acoustics of the temple creates an unprecedented sound effects. The Church often hosts concerts of classical and Church organ music.
