Mogilev zoo is perhaps the newest and most unusual of all the zoos of the Republic of Belarus. It was created in 2004 on the basis of the Mogilev agrotechnical College that teach future huntsmen and foresters. The opening of the zoo was held on 9 may 2005. The zoo is located in the village of Buinichi Mogilev region.

The singularity of the Mogilev zoo in the approach to planning. Aviaries and cages with animals is located freely in a large area (124 ha) along the Dnieper river. On its territory specifically there are two routes: pedestrian and rail. A pedestrian route is replete with suspended bridges, viewing platforms, forest trails, along which are located the cages with the animals. This layout allows visitors to observe animals in their natural habitat.

The length of railway route is 2 km away. Opened the railway in 2009. Bright trailer and toy trailers will take its passengers on a bison Safari. Along the railroad roam free kings of Belarusian forests, bison and spotted deer and European fallow deer. Here they live freely – no one locks up and does not restrict their freedom. Visitors of the zoo can plenty to admire these rare timid animals in the zoo are not afraid of people. The railway runs on the trail of prehistoric glacier, which is replete with deep canyons. Some bridges are above these relict canyons, sometimes at a decent altitude. But don't worry – the safety of passengers is left to chance.

The zoo is not only entertaining institution. There is a lot of scientific and educational work. Here undergo rehabilitation in distress or sick wild animals. Here students learn the animal world, not only their country but also other countries. The younger generation learns to care for and to care for the most exotic and whimsical animals and birds. The zoo participates in conservation activities, conducts educational work among pupils.
