Located in Valladolid Science Museum can without exaggeration be called one of the most interesting museums not only Spain, but all over the world. The Museum attracts huge number of tourists and travelers from all corners of the globe.

The opening of the Museum of Science was held on 29 may 2003. Original modern Museum building was designed by architects Rafael, Moneo and Enrique de Teresa, with the participation of Francisco Romero and Juan Jose Acciari. The Museum is located on the site of an old mill from the 19th century.

On several floors of the Museum are exhibitions and exhibits dealing with various Sciences, all kinds of natural phenomena, as well as the study of man and his life. On one of the floors of the Museum houses the exposition is dedicated to information about energy and the ways it is obtained from various sources; water and its importance to life on earth; animals living in the aquatic environment, as well as chemical elements and their roles in human life. Another floor is the visitors of the exhibition devoted to the study of neurons and nervous systems of different species of beings. The Museum also has a permanent exhibition illustrating the full cycle of water cycle. There is a Museum and an incredibly interesting planetarium in whose territory there is a children's room where children are given the opportunity to begin the study of science through play. In the Museum are monuments dedicated to albert Einstein and Pius Ortega – known physician who conducted the study of histology and of the human nervous system.

The Museum supports the development of educational programs for adults and children, as well as promotes research conferences and seminars.
