Cathedral Valletta was built in 1573-1577 gg and consecrated in honor of the patron Saint of the knights of Saint John – Saint John the Baptist. The façade of the Cathedral is decorated with a balcony, supported by two Corinthian columns. Here Grand masters read his proclamation. The interior of the temple is decorated with reliefs in the form of grape bunches. Baroque ceiling was painted by the artist Mattia pretty.
