Mansion Casa del Moral - manor house, built in 1730 and rebuilt after several earthquakes 1784 and 1868, where they lived a few aristocratic families of the city of Arequipa. Currently this building is owned monetary Fund BancoSur.

This well-preserved colonial house is one of the examples of Baroque architecture of the city of Arequipa eighteenth century and named in honor of the old mulberry tree "moras", growing in the center of the front yard. The facade of the building made of hewn stone, over the entrance are carved two angels, the crown on the coat of arms, castle, birds, Cougars and two crossed keys. On the side of the main facade are beautiful carved Windows.

The double doors of the main entrance of the mansion decorated nails with lock, lock and key, made of bronze. Passing along a wide hallway, visitors get into the main courtyard of the quadrangular shape. The pavement of the courtyard are made of hewn stone and boulders in Arabic style and is reminiscent of a chessboard. As in all colonial houses of the XVIII century, the mansion has three yards: a front yard painted in ochre, its a public space open to visitors. Blue yard was for private use, with the entrance to the kitchen and dining room. And the third yard to the servants, animals, and also for horses.

Visitors to the house-Museum of the Casa del Moral can see big room for receiving guests, the women's room, dining room, bedroom, inquiry room, library and two large rooms, which features a collection of paintings. The hall that connects the first and the second courtyard called "the hall of antique maps of America." It contains a valuable collection of old engravings and maps, compiled by well-known cartographers of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The library contains more than 3000 volumes, primarily of Latin American literature.
