Fort Aniola – Fort Prussian fortress, built during the years 1854-1858, during the reign of king Frederick-William IV. A three-story rotunda was topped with an observation tower. The exterior walls have been adapted for the defence of rifle infantry and field artillery. Around the building was equipped with an earthen embankment and a moat.

In the late nineteenth century in the Fort were held electric and Telegraph network. The Fort was fully manned for a hundred people.

During the First world war it began to lose its importance in the interwar years was ceded to the German Navy. During the Second world war the Fort was restored and equipped with the latest technological developments. Here functioned electricity, heating, radar, radio, telephone. Surrounding the Fort were machine guns.

After the war the Fort was taken by Russian soldiers. In 1992 there was equipped with a point of air surveillance and communications of the Soviet ships. Currently the building is being renovated, there is also a small Museum. In addition, the Fort gradually began to serve as a cultural space of the city.
