The Central zoo is located in the Dusit district, close to vimanmek Palace on Ratite road. Thanks to lush greenery and spacious aviaries, the Dusit zoo is one of the best zoos in Asia.

Earlier on in this area of 18 hectares was located in the Botanical garden of king Rama V. today you can see a pristine tropical flora and relax away from the noise of the streets in the shade of green. The zoo contains a large number of mammals, reptiles and birds, including some rare species of South Asian animals. Also here you can find such popular animals as hippos, bears, monkeys. In the centre of the zoo is a lake where you can hire a rowing boat. Enjoy Thai dishes at a reasonable price in the restaurants along the lake.
