The Church of the Resurrection located in the town of Gorokhovets, Vladimir region. Construction date and author of the modern stone of the temple is unknown. Presumably is 1700.

The Church building – a massive, two-storey, rectangular in plan. The temple stands on a high basement. Three of the apse and porch below the Central volume. Leads to the porch the porch with massive square pillars, decorated his pants.

The Central space of the temple completed five chapters. The roof is hipped. The wall is crowned by a row of decorative corbel arches, which find support on a broad multidisciplinary cornice. Flat blades decorate the corners of the main volumes. The window openings have arched shape. They are surrounded with a variety of trims that give the Church grace and elegance.

The temple without columns, covered by a closed arch. The thickness of the walls of the first floor reaches two meters.

Spatial composition of the building is aliasing. The height of the volume increases to the middle part of the apse of the Church basement, the entrance into the apse, apse of the main volume, the actual volume and its completion. Only from the South all the volumes of the buildings are made in a single horizontal plane. First the basement is separated from the second strip of curb.

Once the Northern porch was open arcade with torispherical arch as the porch on four open powerful pillars. The pillars of the porch is a round, wide, characterized by squat, with bases and capitals of the original form.

The basement window is rectangular. They are the same as bow and arched Windows other volumes, decorated with frames of different shapes, based on the platen. Horizontal thrust, kokoshniks, base, blind arcades drums are variations of shapes created by the rollers. On the walls are especially attractive plastic picture frames.

On the facades of the temple are whitewashed on the grout. The roof and head, made of iron, painted green. The Foundation is not visible. The cap is marked with a roller and a ledge. The window frames are modern, made of wood, single. Decorative wrought iron curly grilles are not available for all the Windows. The stairs of the porch is made of wood. At the entrance survived a few white stone steps.

The temple floor is wooden. Wall to ceiling covers oil paint, above a zabelenny painting. The interior decor is spacious. The upper row of Windows is semi-circular niches with pronounced bevels down, bottom – in arched niches to the floor. In the porch floor is made from wood. Cons – torispherical, with a sharp strippings above the entrances and Windows. Hall the porch – a tall, elongated from North to South. Windows are placed in a high semi-circular recesses with stucco tape along the contour. All doors are wooden.

Apse – tall, spacious, with strikings and torispherical arch above the Windows. Three niches are arranged on the left side. The floor is made from wood. The walls are whitewashed on painting.

The basement is low, covered with a torispherical arch with stalls on the West and replublik plot. The window openings have very deep slopes. Two southern Windows – grate in the cage. The door of the basement – old, with double vestibule.

Gorokhovetsky Church of the Resurrection is an example of a large five-domed on a developed basement with two-story porches pillarless one-part of the Church without the refectory and bell tower, typical of temples merchant tenements with the peculiarities of religious and residential architecture of the XVII century.
