City Museum Bjelovar is the true center of cultural life of the city. In addition, here you can learn about the history of the city and its residents.

The year of Foundation of the Museum is 1949, it was originally called "Museumsquartier". Galleries with exhibits in a building built in Bjelovar in 1832. Before that, it housed the offices of the city authorities. There was held a meeting of the two senior people – the Emperor Franz Joseph and Bishop Josip Juraj, J. J. Strossmayer.

Since 1962, the Museum has been named. The total number of exhibits therein reaches 20 thousand. Collected here are various collections: historical, cultural, natural history, ethnographic and archaeological. In addition, you can find collections dedicated to the labor movement and the people's revolution, as well as many others. Museum under one roof trying to collect works of art that were created by the residents of Bjelovar and the region.

Renovation of the Museum was carried out in 2009, so today, tourists are also encouraged to visit the Studio, the library and the atrium, which hosts concerts of popular and classical music.
