About this grove there is a legend that tells of the escape of Kabardian Prince Khetag from his pursuers, the main purpose of which was to kill him for his acceptance of Christianity. It is known that the majority of Caucasians, including Kabardian people, Muslims. The only Christian Republic in the Caucasus was Ossetia, where and went Kabardian Prince. When the pursuers had almost overtaken the young man in the open field, he asked the Lord for help, he heard a voice: "what! Run to the forest! "After these words, immediately before the Prince grew a grove of large trees, where the young man was able to hide from his pursuers, having not caught. In this grove the young Prince was hiding from enemies for about a year, and later, settling in the village of Nar, gave rise Ossetian kin Khetagurov.

This grove that related several traditions and taboos. One of the prohibitions is that from this Shrine're not supposed to take.
