A Dominican monastery was founded at this place in the XIII century. It was repeatedly reconstructed and the current complex of buildings designed in the Baroque style. The main attraction of the monastery is the Central crucifix wall and the fresco above the main altar, designed by Paolo Veneziano.

In the monastery Museum houses works by masters Dubrovinsky and the Venetian school of painting XIII-XVII centuries, including painting Lovro of Dobrichovice "Baptism of Christ" (mid XV century), as well as cult objects, jewels and vestments of priests.

In the part of the Dominican monastery, where in the XV century. was the chapel of St. Sebastian, a gallery for "Sebastian". It exhibits the work of contemporary artists.
