Gelendzhik Oceanarium is the center of leisure and entertainment for all holidaymakers on the black sea coast. Located in the heart of the resort, the aquarium is the youngest and most spectacular in Russia. It was built in the summer of 2007, the Total area of the Oceanarium is 410 sq. m. the Aquarium features a variety of freshwater and marine fauna: piranhas, Moray eels, sea rays, sea horses, shark, Sevruk, sturgeon and many others.

The aquarium consists of a huge aquarium and exhibition areas with a dozen tanks of different sizes. The original form of the reservoir allow observe the life of fish and other marine animals in conditions as close to their natural habitat.

Gelendzhik Oceanarium has three exhibition areas. In aquariums the first zone can see representatives of bodies of freshwater in South-East Asia and South America. For example, here represented as aggressive voracious carnivorous members of the family of piranhas and their peace-loving fellow vegetarians. Also it is home to lobsters, sea stars and hermit crabs. In the second area presents many of the inhabitants of a coral community. This area also hosts an aquarium with dangerous types of fish: eels, fish-urchins, poisonous lionfish, Zebra, stone fish. The largest inhabitants of the aquarium - sharks are common in the home aquarium.
