The mausoleum of 72 martyrs was erected in the Park Huanghuagang in honor of the 72 people involved in the revolutionary movement under the leadership of Dr. sun Yat-sen. They died in March 1911 in a fierce battle.

The cost of the construction of the mausoleum suffered by the Chinese from all over the world, regardless of the country in which they lived. Every Chinese had to put money on construction costs. The mausoleum is located on the street Syanlichzhunlu.

Of construction ended in 1918, and it serves as one of the most famous monuments of the revolution of China communistische period. During the design and construction of the mausoleum were used various ideas and symbols of architecture designed to represent freedom and democracy.
