The Church of our lady the help of the Faithful is a former convent of the Franciscan order located in Lublin. The Franciscans came to Lublin in 1621, after which there was built a wooden Church of St. Martin. The area where the Church was marshy, the hill. In 1635-1649, on the site of a wooden Church was erected a brick Church of St. Lawrence, built in the Renaissance style. In 1689, the Franciscans began building the monastery building and the new Church from a solid brick in the Renaissance style. In 1812-1813 year in the Church was a military warehouse. Four years later, the Franciscans left the convent.
The buildings passed into private hands, and serve different purposes. For example, prior to the January uprising in 1863 it was owned by Anthony Domanski, which opened in the monastery of the cloth factory and candle factory. The Church quickly fell into disrepair.
In 1913, the Church and convent were bought by a Jew Tadeusz Weisberg, who soon moved to Catholicism. The new owner gave the ruins of the Salesians, who began restoration work. Invited architect Bruno Zborowski divided the Church into three floors. This structure is preserved today. In 1930 he was consecrated the chapel of the Mother of God the help of the Faithful. After the reconstruction of the altar was partially made from oak and copper sheet by John Kaiser. At the altar is a painting of our lady Help of Christians, written by Constantine Stadnicki.
In November 1975 the Reverend Archbishop Boleslaw pylak created the Salesian Parish of God: help of all Christians.
