The city Hall of Manila – one of the main attractions of the capital of the Philippines. The building with its hexagonal tower with three-faced dials on the facades in the first years of its existence has received many unfavorable reviews for its austere architectural design, lack of inputs and the placement of the clock tower. The original layout of the building was rejected because shaped like a coffin or, in another version, the knight's shield of the Templar Order. It is interesting that today most critics praised the design of the Town Hall, which had once caused so much criticism.

The building is located in the heart of the tourist district of Manila, which also hosts the main government agencies and other city attractions. South of the Hall houses the national Museum, the Museum of the Filipino People and the Department of Tourism. Nearby lie the rizal Park is the largest municipal Park in the country. And right next to the towering walls of the old historic district of Manila – Intramuros.

The clock tower of the Town Hall became a symbol of Manila. At night it is illuminated by floodlights and external illuminated and becomes visible from many parts of the city. Every hour the bell rings three times, and then melody. Today the Clock Tower is the largest in the Philippines.

In the City Hall houses the offices of government agencies and the administration of Manila. Access is open to the public from Monday to Friday.
