The Evangelical Church in the resort of Marianske Lazne seems a modest and inconspicuous next to pompous Baroque buildings in bright colours. It is built close to the five-storey houses, but she only has two floors and a small tower, which rises above the roofs, and flushed with the other buildings. But this does not detract from its significance for the city and Holiness for believers.
This Church was built in the mid-nineteenth century, mainly, at the expense of the Prussian ruler Friedrich Wilhelm IV, who arrived in Marianske Lazne, to witness the consecration of the new Protestant Church. Because of banknotes on the construction of the Church was not enough, the local Protestant community threw a cry among his parishioners, and the correct amount was very quickly found. The construction involved in the architect G. Kantian, who left his autograph on the facade of the building: elegant monogram.
For a long time the Church was abandoned and gradually destroyed. Only in 1999 it was restored and reopened to the faithful.
Proud Evangelical marianacci of the Church are three beautiful stained glass, which were presented as a gift to noble personages: Duchess Vera of württemberg and Kaiser Wilhelm II. This is the stained glass Windows were made in the early XXth century and still adorn the Windows of the Church.
The Church houses an organ, which was played in 1923, the Nobel prize winner, multilaterally developed person, a theologian, a philosopher, a talented musician albert Schweitzer.
The code of the local Evangelical Church is decorated with a colorful mural.
