However, initially it is not used. Ambuluwawa raises approximately 365 metres above sea level and at 1965 meters above the level of the city of Gampola. It is known for its diverse biological composition, it covers about 200 different plant species from 80 families. The soil here is red and rich in medicinal plants, such as Eramus, Muva Kiriya, Nava Hanji. Plantation and gardens, located on the mountain, contribute to the development of agriculture in Sri Lanka.

The vegetation of the area is diverse and rich evergreen forests, flowers and climbing plants. The main reason for this is the cool mountain air. Ambuluwawa is surrounded by other mountains, such as Pidurutalagala in the East, Bacaloglu (Bible rock) in the West, Sri Pada (Adam's Peak) in the South, and knuckles in the North. Ambuluwawa is the only Sri Lankan mountain, which is surrounded by mountains, which add elegance and beauty to a landscape.

The last transformation Minister of Sri Lanka Jayaratne turned Ambuluwawa in the vault of the national Museum. On top of the mountain are three tanks that were built to supply water to the foot of the hill. In Stone Park also presents various kinds of minerals out of the mountains to show the value of the stone as an element of the environment.

From the top of Ambuluwawa has a tremendous view with a beautiful entrance, water parks and stone, as well as double pond. At the top you will also find deer, and the roads are right next to the abyss that brings a trip to this mountain is an element of thrill.
