Museum of contemporary art in Radom is a division of the Jacek Malczewski Museum. It is located in two buildings, built in the Baroque style and located in the Market square. The Museum contains a large collection of Polish art of the second half of the twentieth century, which was supplemented by donations of the artists themselves. In 2011, the Museum celebrated its 20th anniversary.

The first "Winter salon" with an exhibition of postwar art was opened in Radom already in 1945. The most important exhibition was the annual "Winter beauty", which was held 41 times from 1945 to 1988. In addition, on the initiative of stanisław Zbigniew Kaminski was conducted traveling exhibitions.

The Museum was only established in 1990, which were immediately transferred to the works kept in the Museum of art. In 1992-2011, the Museum received as gifts from artists and sponsors more than 2,500 works. One of the largest collections was donated by Andrzej Wajda.

Currently the Museum collection includes more than 4,500 works of artists of the second half of the twentieth century. There is a large collection of contemporary Polish painting. The exhibition contains a collection of sculptures, installations, drawings and textiles. Particularly noteworthy are several works: "portrait of the violinist" by Jerzy nowosielski, "Vocalise" by Tadeusz Brzozowski and other masterpieces of Polish art.

In 2011, on the occasion of its 20th anniversary, the Museum has organized four exhibitions: "the Gifts of the professors of the Academy of arts", "Six ways in photos", "Remembering the war" and "Politics and ethics".
