In Uglich, on Spasskaya street, 33 is the Central Museum of the history of hydropower of Russia. The Museum was opened on December 22, 2006 at the administration building in Uglich hydroelectric power station.

The Museum building is a two-story building, built at the turn of the 30-40-ies of XX century, which in the past was the city Department of Volgolga. The first hall of the Museum – a trial. He tells about the history of development, prospects and the state energy and hydropower of Russia. There is a Hall of memory, telling forces due to what happened the creation of Rybinsk and Uglich hydroelectric power station.
