Very romantic place in the surroundings of mariánské lázně is the observation deck of Gamelike. Its appearance resembles a medieval fortress, whose remains part of the wall and a tall cylindrical tower.

About places where you can see at a glance the entire city, has long been known. They were discovered by vacationers who studied with indefatigable enthusiasm of the surrounding hills, covered with forests. On one such popular place and it was decided to equip the observation deck. This happened in 1876. To work on the landscaping was invited fashionable architect living in Marianske Lazne – Friedrich Sickler. He successfully executed the order of the city authorities, creating another attraction of the resort that should definitely be celebrated every tourist. The idea to build a lookout tower at Sickler appeared almost immediately. He spent only three months in summer to the embodiment of this idea. The tower is 20 meters, upstairs are 100 steps. Overcame them appears excellent panorama not only in Marianske Lazne, but also on its surroundings, where is the Bohemian forest, and a few mountain peaks in the neighborhood.

Where did the observation deck of such a strange name? It's just a hill with a height of 722 feet, on which she was built, called the hill of Gamelike.
