Museum "Underground Printing press 1905 – 1906 gg" is a branch of the State Central Museum of contemporary history of Russia. The Museum was opened in Moscow in 1924 and is located on the first floor in the left wing of the three-storey building. The house was built in the late 19th century and belonged to the merchant Kolupaeva.
Illegal, clandestine printing press was here during the revolution of 1905. Printing press arranged for the publication of illegal literature, Newspapers and flyers. The initiators were the leaders of the RSDLP - Krasin and Yenukidze. For this purpose, found a house on the outskirts of Moscow, close to the Georgian settlement. The Museum was opened in 1924 on the proposal Sokolova, known under the party name "Myron". The creators of the Museum were former members of the underground who worked in this printing.
It consists of the shop, the shop basement, two living rooms and a kitchen. Situation the premises are fully restored and is typical of the life of Moscow's middle-class. Well preserved brick oven.
