Residential House artisan, otherwise known as the House on the market – a unique monument of Baroque style, built in the town of Nesvizh in 1721. Perhaps the house was not built for the artisan, and for the wealthy merchant. In any case, the owner of such a house was not poor and could afford a beautiful spacious home in the most public place of the city.
The house is located opposite the Nesvizh town hall on the Central city square, next to the Shopping arcade. Apparently, there were several houses that were inhabited by merchants and artisans. Sorry, haven't preserved the layout of the house, however, it can be assumed that the first floor houses the workshops and storerooms or shop, and upstairs were the living rooms.
The House of the artisan is very beautiful curly high gable overlooking the main square, typical for civil construction of the Baroque style. Tiled gable roof effectively sets off the white stucco facade of the facade. Original piece is metal openwork balcony on the second floor of the house. Black wrought-iron lace balcony lattice looks spectacular in the bright facade of the house. A characteristic feature of the Belarusian city buildings: the first floor of a house built of brick and the second of wood.
Noticeable asymmetrical arrangement of Windows and doors. Probably the reason for the asymmetry is the later reconstruction and repairs of the house, however, Baroque carved pediment smooths out the inconsistency of the location of the window and doors.
Now in the craftsmen's House is a children library of Nesvizh. Unfortunately, the interior of the house has not been preserved.
