The Museum-estate "boat of Peter I" is in Veskovo Pereslavl district 4 kilometers from the city. It is located on the shore of lake Pleshcheyevo at mount HREM'yach. In this place in 1692 a young Peter I launched the first military flotilla.

The first time visiting Pereslavl in 1688, young Peter was enchanted by the beauty and size of lake Pleshcheyevo. Staying first three centuries, and then in the Goritsky monastery, Peter began organizing its "fun flotilla". The first shipyard was located at the mouth of the Trubezh river. Peter taught the construction of ships masters from Holland.

But the Streltsy rebellion forced Peter to break away from your favorite things. In November 1691 he returned to the “fun ship”. “Amusing ” and “business ” the yards were now on the hill HREM'yach, outside the village, Veskovo. To the lake dug the channel, it was built at the shipyard small ships went down to the lake. Large ships were built right on the shore.

Exhibition hall "rotunda" (formerly the building for dances and social functions, was built in 1852) re-opened its doors after a long period of neglect in 2003, Since that time, the rotunda – the decoration of the Museum. She tells about the history of the estate since the late 17th century, when there was a funny yard of the young king until her last visit of the Russian Emperor in 1913

The exhibition consists of three rooms. In the first room genuine artifacts related to the late 17th century, which are relevant to the construction of the first vessels on the banks of the Pereslavl lake: tools Peter shipbuilders, parts, equipment and armament of ships. The second room of the exhibition – "the Room of Peter the great", which is a reconstruction of the interior of the front room of the Royal Palace. The third hall – front, its main purpose is to pay tribute to Peter I, and describe the role of the nobility of Vladimir in the preservation of this historic place.
