Castelveter is interesting protected natural area, located above the town of Ora in the town of Montagna in South Tyrol. It is ideal for walks and relaxation, which is famous for its unique landscapes, known as "Tyrolean Arcade". On-site Castelveter you can find ponds and marshes, intricate rock formations and the ruins of an ancient castle, which gave its name to the whole area. This castle, built by the Byzantines in the Middle ages as a fortress, stands on a hilltop at a height of 190 meters above sea level.

Castelveter attracts large and small adventure lovers, fans of Hiking and mountain climbers, who can find interesting sites. During the walk you can find all sorts of animals, however, are often caught goats. From the top of the hill on which the castle stands, offers a wonderful panorama of the Valle Dell'adige, Altridge, Appiano and Caldaro up to Salorno. And throughout this area are numerous archaeological zone, finds which date from the second Millennium BC, and small churches, considered sacred from time immemorial. Especially notable is the chapel of St. Barbara of the 6th century.
