As archival materials, Mariinsky women's gymnasium was opened in Saratov in 1859 "to teach girls coming from noble families" and for a long his story has changed many areas, until it finally gained its specially built building.

In 1905 at the corner of the Alexander and Constantine street, by the architect A. N. Klementiev opened a school, which became in Saratov for many years exemplary. Mariinsky women's gymnasium of the Department of institutions of Empress Maria with highly qualified teaching staff, classes and classrooms equipped with all necessary teaching AIDS and materials is always kept clean and tidy. The Assembly hall was decorated with portraits of the highest personages in gilt frames.

After the October revolution, the building was occupied secondary school, twice changed the numbering in 1918 and in 1941. During the great Patriotic war it was placed in the hospital, and in 1946 the building was occupied by the aviation College.
