Islamic Museum Sharjah - amazing Museum, which is one of the main attractions of the city. It is the first Museum of its kind in the United Arab Emirates. It is located in the historical centre of the Emirate near the port of Majarra. The Museum introduces locals and visitors to the region with history, science and culture of the Muslim world.

Islamic Museum Sharjah began its work in 1996, In 2007 it was closed for renovation, which ended in 2008, and Then held the re-opening of the Museum, but only under a different name - the Museum of Islamic Civilization. Today the Museum has more than 5 thousand artifacts from different regions of the Islamic world. In the design of exhibitions were used the most modern technological solutions.

Islamic Museum Sharjah consists of six spacious rooms. The first hall of the Museum is dedicated to the faith and the spiritual aspects of Islam. The main exhibit of this hall is considered to be a copy of the Holy Qur'an of Uthman Ibn Affan on parchment, which gives an idea of how it actually looked first Quran. The second hall is devoted to science and innovation. Here you can see the innovative and technological projects of yore.
