Shidlovskaya city hall – the city hall building, located in the centre of this typical medieval town square. Town hall in the late Renaissance style was built in 1602-1629 years and is considered one of the most impressive monuments of Polish architecture. The silhouette of the building is reminiscent of the town hall in Sandomierz, however, recognized more than the Grand structure. Before the main facade of the building is the pillory, which dates back to the first half of the seventeenth century and is a unique monument in the city.

For the design and construction of the building was hired architect Casper Fadiga. Funds for the erection of the town Hall began to gather in 1599, and after three years of donations, construction began. In a rectangular building housed the jail, which occupied the basement. Hall city Council was on the floor above. Arched Dormer Windows were broken only in the nineteenth century.

In 1809, the town and the town Hall was devastated by the Austrians, after which the city administration decided to demolish the building and build a new city hall surrounded by shops and shopping galleries. This plan, however, remained unfulfilled. The building was renovated.

Today the town Hall is the seat of the mayor and city administration. In addition, there is the office of the state Department of civil Affairs. In the basement cafe.
