The house-Museum. E. Yaroslavsky Yakutsk is a well – known cultural institution of the city. The Grand opening of the Museum took place in June 1967, the Museum is housed in the house where he lived and worked as a revolutionary statesman and the founder of the anti-religious policy in the Soviet Union, Y. M. Yaroslavsky. In the organization of the Museum was attended by the children of E. M. Yaroslavsky: Frunze and Marianne.

From 1915 to 1917, E. M. Yaroslavsky was the Director of the Museum. In the shortest time he managed to make systematic catalogues of all the collections, was registered on 18 950 units. E. M. Yaroslavsky worked at the Museum until 1917 After the revolution he became a member of the Yakut Committee dealing with security issues. A little later Yaroslavl headed Yakut Board of deputies. After a while, Yemelyan Yaroslavsky moved to Moscow, leaving his home in which he spent his best years.

In November 1924, the Museum was named after E. M. Yaroslavsky. Exactly the YATSYK of the Yakut ASSR has honoured a revolutionary figure in the formation and development of the Museum. Until 1990, the house-Museum acted as a memorial. The interior decor of the house was recreated exactly as it was from 1911 to 1916, when E. Yaroslavsky lived here with his family. The Museum exhibited genuine materials - personal items family Yaroslavl, manuscripts of his writings on the history of the party and Yakutia. In 1991, the house-Museum of E. Yaroslavsky reprofiled, a new exhibition permanent exhibition called "the Romance of the past" tells the story of Yakutsk.

In the house-Museum named after E. Yaroslavsky hosts temporary exhibitions that reflect one or another aspect of life in the city of Yakutsk.
