Greco-Roman Museum was founded in 1891. It exhibits 40 thousand exhibits mainly associated with Alexandria and the Delta: the statues and sarcophagi, papyri and mummies, some Christian antiquity. In the courtyard of the Museum is the Crocodile temple with a large number of mummies of crocodiles.

Such an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian, Greek, Roman and Christian cultures testifies to the rich history of Alexandria and makes this Museum is very attractive for tourists.
