Church of the Conversion of the Apostle Paul – a Roman Catholic Church located in the Polish city of Sandomierz.

The first wooden Church was founded the Cracow Bishop Ivo Trawangan in 1126. After the incident of a fire, the Church was severely damaged. The erection of a new stone Church in the Gothic style was completed in 1434.

Brick Church, unfortunately, also are unable to resist the fire in 1637. The damage was very serious. In the reconstruction it was decided to expand the Church. In 1651, in the Church of the Conversion of the Apostle Paul were consecrated two new altar by Bishop Wojciech Lipniki.

The final appearance and the interior of the Church was acquired during the renovation in the early eighteenth century in the Baroque style. The interior appeared a floor made of marble, the walls were decorated with paintings by the artist Charles de prévost. The paintings depict stories from the life of St. Paul.

During the Second world war the Church of the Conversion of the Apostle Paul was damaged from cannon missiles, the roof was destroyed and partially collapsed.

Today the Church is an integral part of the religious life of Sandomierz. The temple is located near the Church of St. James and the ravine of Saint Hedwig. Both the Church and the ravine – known tourist attractions of Sandomierz.
