Art and historical-architectural Museum "Alexandrovskaya Sloboda" is located in the town of Alexandrov, Vladimir region. Today Aleksandrovskaya Sloboda is one of the most popular Russian museums. The Museum invites residents and guests to get acquainted with Alexander's Kremlin, the history of the Alexander settlement, which was the center of the oprichnina of Ivan IV, and in fact the capital of the state in the 16th century, birthplace of Russian statehood.

The Museum "Alexandrovskaya Sloboda" was founded in 1921 In 1928-1937, he was a branch of the historical Museum of Moscow, and since 1974 – a branch of the Vladimir-Suzdal Museum-reserve.
