Industrial Bristol Museum introduces visitors to the history of the development of industry and transport, automotive, printing and aviation.
The Museum is housed on two floors in a former port hangar. The transport section of the Museum presents a variety of bikes, motorcycles, buses and cars. Because now the Bristol centre of the British aviation industry, a large place in the exhibition devoted to planes and helicopters. But Bristol is also one of the most important ports and a large part of the Museum is the history of shipbuilding and port equipment. In particular, in the external exhibition presents a working sample of the steam port crane, made in 1878.
The hall, dedicated to printing, exhibited the effect of the samples of printing machines and printing equipment. They are printed with Museum brochures, tickets, etc.
The separate exposition is devoted to the history of the slave trade and the role of the port of Bristol in the African slave trade.
In 2006, the Industrial Museum was closed for renovation and opened in 2011 under the name "Hangar M" (M Shed).
