Podersdorf is an Austrian town located on the Eastern shore of lake Neusiedl in Burgenland. The city is a tourist center. Come here to relax on the lake, bird watching (the town is part of the national Park of lake Neusiedl), outdoor activities, bicycles on special routes.

In Podersdorf many sports clubs: equestrian, tennis, squash club, several yacht clubs, three sailing schools, two schools of Windsurfing, three kite school, club, Darts and a center for sport fishing. For tourists there are several campsites, a hotel, as well as fish restaurants, tavernas and bars. In the city you can enjoy Italian and Hungarian food.

During its history the city suffered a lot of difficulties. In the 18th century in Podersdorf plague raged. The 19th century brought hunger and poverty caused by the Napoleonic wars, several epidemics of cholera and the drying up of lake Neusiedl.
