Coastal Park "Casuarina" taken under the protection of about 1500 hectares of the coastal strip between the river deltas rapid Creek and Buffalo Creek near Darwin. The Park includes 8 km of sandy beaches, steep cliffs and an array of shade of Casuarina trees. Behind the dunes is located is typical of Northern Australia coastal plant communities – monsoon forests, mangroves and the so-called paper trees.
The natives of the tribe of the larrakia people (larrakia) guarding this sacred site for them that has enormous cultural and religious significance. For example, the Stone of the Elder "Dariba Nungalinya" (Dariba Nunggalinya), visible at low tide from the observation deck on the cliff Dripstone. Since the Park is one of the favorite places of recreation for residents of Darwin, there are all conditions for a comfortable one night stay.
