The most important historical monument, which is famous for AAB, is the Gothic Cathedral of the Holy Rudolf. This is one of the oldest buildings in Denmark. The Church dates from the X century.

It was originally built in Romanesque style in honor of St. Budolf, the patron Saint of all sailors. In the fourteenth century, the Cathedral was destroyed, from the structure itself remained only the Foundation. Wealthy traders and merchants raised funds and some time later, on the ruins of the temple erected a new Church for the parishioners.

Inside the Cathedral of the Holy Budolfi are well-preserved frescoes of the XVI century. In 1689 funds Niels Jespersen and his wife was erected an altar, decorated with their coats of arms. In 1779, the Church was added a Baroque spire. The spire was built with funds bequeathed by his brother and sister Jacob and Elizabeth Himmel. Inside the Church the walls are decorated with portraits of patrons, donations which were carried out finishing work to the interior of the Church. Special attention of visitors is drawn to the baptismal font 1728 and the Department of 1692.

Cathedral of the Holy Rudolf is surrounded by the magnificent landmarks such as the House of Jens Bang, town Hall, Historical Museum, the monastery of the Holy spirit. Today the temple is one of the most famous and important monuments of Denmark. Each year, the Cathedral of the Holy Rudolf visited by many tourists from around the world.
