Photo: House-Palace of Sheikh Saeed
Sheikh Saeed house was built in the late XIX century by the sea so the ruler could observe the movement of ships. Wind towers and a Suite of rooms surrounding a patio, make this structure a remarkable example of local architecture.
In the premises are collected multiple exposures, each devoted to a specific topic in the history of Dubai: library; halls, telling about the pearling; halls, devoted to the beginning of the oil era and the history of the Maktoum family, who ruled Dubai for 200 years; halls with a collection of coins and stamps; as well as the halls with an exhibition on the life of a Bedouin, a collection of geographical maps and historical documents.
