Ah-Todorsky lighthouse in Gaspra is not just one of the Crimean attractions, this reliqui Russian Navy. The lighthouse was installed in 1835 in the place previously occupied by the ancient Roman signal tower built at the time it was in ruins. The initiator of the construction of AI-Todorsky lighthouse was made by the commander of the black sea fleet Admiral M. P. Lazarev.

On a hillside next to the lighthouse preserved old trees, remnants of the southern coastal forests with a history of more than a hundred years. Grow here, mostly junipers, oaks and pistachio trees. The greatest value is pistachio tree growing near the lighthouse, he is already over a thousand years. This tree is one of the oldest trees in the Crimea, so it is officially listed as endangered.

The AI-Todor Cape has a very interesting shape. It's like he juts out into the sea three spurs, dubbed "neptunalia of the Trident. The southernmost and highest of the "tooth" is AI-Todorsky spur, which in ancient times served to sailors a true reference. Once this place was located a Roman fortification, named by archaeologists as the hyrax. Set on the promontory of the signal light tower made it impossible to circumvent the danger, making visible the night to the rocky shore.

Many years have passed, but despite this, little has changed in the surrounding cliffs, the water surface and shorelines, and while there is sea, there will be a beacon that indicates the direction from the shore.

Ah-Todorsky light that is visible in the sea 50 miles, still stands on top of the spur. It is a historical and cultural value and are quite capable to fulfill its functional purpose. Today on the territory of the lighthouse is accessible only by a special permit which can be obtained in Sevastopol.
